Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repair and preventive maintenance of production equipment and machinery. You will work with the maintenance team to keep plant operations running smoothly in a high-demand environment.

Responsibilities include installing, adjusting, and repairing equipment, using hand and power tools, and troubleshooting to determine repairs. Flexibility for 12-hour shifts and occasional weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate with the team.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. periodically.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and outdoors at times.
• Ability to carry out tasks assigned by management.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, or replace parts.
• Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss repairs with supervisor for approval.
• Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, and circuit boards.
• Observe devices and sounds to confirm proper functioning or identify faults.
• Other duties related to the job as needed, temporary or permanent.

Job Summary

Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned to the maintenance team by the plant manager or other supervisor as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned
• Test malfunctioning machinery, troubleshoot and determine repairs and discuss with plant supervisor for approval and repair as needed
• Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards
• Observe mechanical devices and equipment and listen to sounds to determine proper functioning or identify causes of trouble
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
