Job summary
Amcor is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our Russellville, AR plant. You will install, test, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical production machinery and support systems to maximize uptime and productivity.
The role reports to both electrical and mechanical areas and requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, and vendors. Shift is 2-2-3 12-hour nights, with every other weekend off.
Qualifications
- High level of experience in the function, mechanics and operation of maintenance equipment.
- Computer and Software knowledge.
- Able to work well with others / self-motivated.
- Strong mechanical skills, attendance and safety record.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley 500 and 5000).
- Use multimeter to check voltage, resistance and amps.
- Knowledge of Ohm's Law/Watts Law.
- Knowledge of 3 phase motor rotation.
- Bearing installation.
- Plumbing/Hydraulics (hose fabrication, fitting ID and application).
- Basic Welding (mig or stick, weld in position).
Responsibilities
- Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
- Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and facility.
- Troubleshoots electrical problems using schematics and manuals.
- Assists with electrical repairs of the support equipment.
- May repair motors and gear boxes (bearings, wiring).
- Solves issues affecting equipment operation and production.
- Fills out maintenance request forms or work orders.
- Participates in development projects with R&D and vendors.
- Serves as on-site technical resource for staff.
- Performs welding, cutting, drilling with power tools.
- Follows procedures and forms required by the Key Area Leader.
- Performs other projects/duties as assigned.

Amcor is currently searching for individuals to join our Russellville production plant!
The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician installs, tests, repairs, and maintains electrical or electronic plant production machinery, support equipment, building, and other systems throughout the site to maintain optimum operating conditions and plant productivity. The role is expected to report to and assist with both electrical and mechanical issues.
2-2-3 12-hour Straight Nights, 8:00p-8:00a
$31-35/hour (based on skillset) + $0.50 shift premium!

- Performs necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and facility.
- Troubleshoots electrical problems using manufacturers schematics and manuals.
- Assists the equipment support person as needed with electrical repairs of the support equipment.
- May make repairs to motors and gear boxes such as changing bearings, wiring repair, etc.
- Problem solves issues concerning equipment operation and manufacturing processes where these relate to maximizing output.
- Fills out maintenance request forms and may fill out work order.
- Involvement in developmental project work including working with R&D, manufacturing and outside equipment and parts vendors.
- Functions as part of the technical resources for the on-site staff.
- Performs welding, cutting, drilling using electrical power tools as needed for fabrication.
- Knowledge of procedures, work instructions and associated forms as required by the Key Area Leader.
- Performs other projects/duties as assigned.
