We are looking to hire for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of maintenance experience in plastic injection molding. Located in Providence, RI, Mars 2000 provides world-class engineering solutions across various industries, focusing on innovative design and manufacturing challenges. The successful candidate will have experience troubleshooting pneumatic injection molding presses, hydraulic equipment, and electrical/electronic issues, along with general maintenance of the physical plant. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, solution-oriented, and highly mechanically inclined.

Requirements include being self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of interacting with vendors and technicians to resolve issues promptly.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring safety interlocks are functional
• Maintaining molding machines and auxiliary equipment (training provided)
• Dismantling machines to inspect and repair defects
• Replacing defective parts and assembling/testing machines for proper operation
• Cleaning press barrels and screws
• Following Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
• Performing other assigned duties

Qualifications include:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Team building and personnel development abilities
• Understanding of hydraulics and electrical circuitry
• Knowledge of all functions of injection molding machines (training provided)
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical diagrams
• Accurate record-keeping skills
• Licensed to operate a forklift or willingness to learn
