Job summary

Nationwide Technical Search in Monroe, MI is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy machinery across our manufacturing facility. Onsite, permanent/direct hire with full benefits and 2nd/3rd shift options, offering $35-$41 per hour.

The role requires experience in heavy industrial maintenance, strong diagnostic skills for 3-phase electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics, and the ability to interpret blueprints and perform basic fabrication.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose 3-phase electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Must provide own basic maintenance tools.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• VFDs and PLCs experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance: troubleshoot, repair, install 3-phase systems, VFDs, and PLCs.
• Mechanical systems: maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Preventive maintenance and basic facility upkeep.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings; perform light fabrication and multi-meter electrical testing.

In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy machinery across our manufacturing facility, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and install 120V, 208V, 277V, and 480V 3-phase electrical systems, VFDs, and PLCs.
• Mechanical Systems: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive/predictive maintenance, basic facility upkeep, and industrial plumbing tasks.
• Fabrication & Diagnostics: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings; perform welding, light fabrication, and multi-meter electrical testing.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Background in heavy industrial manufacturing maintenance required.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to diagnose 3-phase electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Tooling: Must provide your own basic set of maintenance tools/toolbox.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Direct experience troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and PLCs.
