Job summary

VIP Staffing is seeking an industrial maintenance technician in San Antonio, Texas to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure system reliability.

The role requires 2–4+ years of industrial maintenance, hands-on experience with motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics, plus the ability to read electrical schematics and follow lockout/tagout procedures.

Job description

Pay is up to $30/hr. based on experience

Shifts: Week 1: Mon/Thurs/Fri, Week 2: Tues/Wed/Sat/Sun

6:15 AM – 6:30 PM & 6:15 PM – 6:30 AM

Duties:

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, relays, conveyors, and pumps.
• Troubleshoot CNC, automated production, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Maintain work orders and maintenance records.
• Follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing production machinery and systems.
• Locate and identify faults and/or hazards, repair as required.
• Wire, build, and modify electrical control panels according to schematics and engineering drawings.
• Inspect, test, and replace transformers, breakers, fuses, and wiring harnesses.
• Run hydraulic hoses, repair leaks as necessary and run electrical conduit throughout production floor.
• Testing systems using multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, and other electrical diagnostic tools.

Requirements:

• 2-4+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred. More experienced technicians are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
