Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift in Wood Dale, IL to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment in a fast-paced aluminum die casting operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on aluminum die casting machines, furnaces, trim presses, and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Inspect and maintain furnaces, ladles, cooling systems, and die temperature control units.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, robotics, and automated production equipment.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and machine repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and electrical components.
• Maintain plant utility systems including air compressors, cooling towers, and water systems.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify potential failures before they occur.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Support production teams with equipment adjustments and troubleshooting.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Overtime Available: Saturdays as needed
Pay: $28-$35+/hour based on experience

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. • Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a hot manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely perform maintenance tasks around industrial machinery.
