Job summary

The Daikin Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install and maintain production equipment in our Houston facility. You will repair, diagnose, and test mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic units, drives, conveyors, and PLC-controlled tools.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, performing preventative maintenance, welding and fabrication as needed, and ensuring OSHA safety policies are followed to keep downtime to a minimum and production flowing smoothly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general mechanical experience in manufacturing equipment.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 4 year apprenticeship in Machine Repair of Industrial Millwright or 6 years mechanical trades experience.
• Certifications in Welding, Electrical, and Mechanics preferred; PLC training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular repair, service and maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
• Execute preventative maintenance duties and requisition new parts and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly and professionally.
• Assist with installation of new equipment.
• Evaluate, maintain and modify equipment to production efficiency.
• Maintain accurate departmental records.
