Job summary

KOHLS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep facilities and equipment running efficiently. You will inspect, repair, and maintain conveyors, air compressors, generators, and power handling equipment to support daily operations.

You will perform routine HVAC and lighting maintenance, assist contractors, and manage parts. Candidates should be hands-on, able to work with minimal supervision, and have their own basic tools.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment.
• Compliance with all MSDS standards and lock-out/tag procedures.
• Ability to climb ladders and run all power equipment.
• Must provide own basic set of tools.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection and repair of conveyor systems and equipment.
• Routine maintenance of air compressors, generators, bailers, conveyors and material handling equipment.
• Inspect and repair fire protection equipment.
• Parts administration and inventory support.
• Assist outside contractors as needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance jams or malfunctions.

Shifts:Monday-Thursday 2pm-12amMonday-Thursday 10pm-8am

About the RoleAs a Maintenance Technician, you will promote workplace efficiency and profitability by maintaining, inspecting and repairing facilities, equipment and machinery.

What You'll Do

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment
• Routine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, generators, compactors, bailers, conveyors and power and material handling equipment
• Perform inspection and repair of fire protection equipment
• Parts administration

• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture moves
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning units
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility
• Sort, stack and load pallets, cardboard, aluminum, steel and light bulbs for recycling

• Assist outside contractors in performing various duties
• Promptly answer calls for jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues
