Job summary

KOHL'S is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, inspect, and repair facilities, equipment, and machinery at our Pickerington, OH location. You will perform daily conveyor inspections, preventive maintenance on compressors and generators, and assist contractors as needed for efficient store operations.

Ideal candidates will have basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and be able to work with minimal supervision while providing their own basic tools.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment.
• Compliance with MSDS standards and lock-out/tag procedures.
• Ability to climb ladders and operate power equipment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must provide own basic set of tools.
• Ability to use cleaning solutions per MSDS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair conveyors and equipment daily.
• Perform preventive maintenance on air compressors, generators, bailers and conveyors.
• Inspect and repair fire protection equipment.
• Parts administration and inventory management.
• Conduct minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and furniture moves.
• Service HVAC units and maintain facility lighting.
• Sort and load recyclables and manage waste handling.
• Assist outside contractors as needed.
• Respond promptly to jams, malfunctions, or maintenance issues.

Shifts:
Monday-Thursday 2pm-12am

Monday-Thursday 10pm-8am

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will promote workplace efficiency and profitability by maintaining, inspecting and repairing facilities, equipment and machinery.

What You’ll Do

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment
• Routine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, generators, compactors, bailers, conveyors and power and material handling equipment
• Perform inspection and repair of fire protection equipment
• Parts administration

• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture moves
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning units
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility
• Sort, stack and load pallets, cardboard, aluminum, steel and light bulbs for recycling

• Assist outside contractors in performing various duties
• Promptly answer calls for jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues
