Job summary

A. Stucki Company in Fremont, Nebraska, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment on a steady Monday–Friday day shift.

The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, PLC, and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal equipment reliability and safety. You will work with production and maintenance teams, perform preventive maintenance, and document activities and parts usage to support continuous operations in a rails-related manufacturing

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong mechanical understanding of equipment and components.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, sensors and controls.
• Experience with PLCs preferred for automated equipment issues.
• Familiar with hydraulic and pneumatic systems maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance practices and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, sensors, and control systems.
• Diagnose PLC-related issues and assist with automation troubleshooting.
• Repair or replace bearings, belts, gears, pumps, and motors.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements for efficiency.
• Assist with installation, setup, modification, and relocation of machinery.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout and maintain clean work areas.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and parts usage.

What You'll Do

• Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.
• Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motors, sensors, switches, and control systems.
• PLC Troubleshooting: Diagnose PLC-related equipment issues and assist with troubleshooting automated systems.
• Mechanical Repairs: Repair, adjust, and replace components such as bearings, belts, chains, gears, pumps, and motors.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend solutions to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Equipment Installation: Assist with installing, setting up, modifying, and relocating machinery and production equipment as needed.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow established safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and other team members to resolve maintenance issues and minimize operational disruptions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts usage.

What We're Looking For

• Industrial Maintenance Experience: Previous experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Mechanical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment components, and industrial machinery.
• Electrical Knowledge: Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, sensors, and related components.
• Troubleshooting Ability: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify the root cause of equipment failures.
• PLC Experience: Experience troubleshooting PLCs and automated manufacturing equipment is preferred.
• Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems: Familiarity with diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Preventive Maintenance: Understanding of preventive maintenance practices and equipment reliability.
• Safety Mindset: Commitment to safe work practices, including proper lockout/tagout procedures.
• Communication & Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with production and maintenance personnel.
