Job Summary

This position is responsible for repairing, testing, installing, and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, and piping systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems in a commercial or industrial setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Detects malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and discusses operation variations with supervisors or maintenance staff to diagnose issues.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs repaired or new parts.
• Cleans and lubricates machine parts like shafts, bearings, and gears.
• Installs and repairs electrical components, transformers, wiring, and electronic parts.
• Assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, and replaces gauges, valves, and regulators.
• Repairs physical structures of the establishment.
• Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery, including robots and controllers.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and mills for repairs or fabrication.
• Operates cutting and welding equipment for metal work.
• Fabricates and repairs wooden structures like counters and partitions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to understand complex problems and collaborate on solutions.
• Effective organization and prioritization skills for managing multiple projects.

Essential Job Functions
