Job summary

The Vincit Group is seeking a hands-on worker for manufacturing, demolition, and installation of specialized equipment and systems in Chattanooga. You will assist in fabrication, installation, repair and maintenance of industrial machinery, and handle materials and tools on site.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and some experience in manufacturing or agricultural environments; basic knowledge of hand tools and machinery is required.

JOB SUMMARY

This position performs numerous tasks which involve aspects of physical labor regarding the manufacture, demolition, and installation of specialized equipment and systems. Assist in the manufacture, installation, repair and maintenance of industrial machinery, and electrical /electronic equipment. Perform duties such as furnishing materials, tools and other supplies to workers and to the job site; cleaning work area, machines and tools as well as holding materials or tools for other workers.

EDUCATION

Preferred: High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Some work experience in a manufacturing or agriculture environment.

Preferred: Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience.

POSITION REQUIREMENT(S)

Specialized Skills/License/Certification Required: Have knowledge of basic hand tools and their use.

Preferred: Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

• Clean or lubricate vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
• Assemble and maintain physical structures, using hand or power tools.
• Clean or prepare construction or manufacturing sites to eliminate possible hazards.
• Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
• Completes special projects upon request, and other duties may be assigned.
