Job summary

Staffmark is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Bethlehem, PA to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and keep production lines running safely and efficiently. You will diagnose issues, complete repairs, and support equipment installation and improvements as needed.

The role requires at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read manuals and schematics, and a proven commitment

Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour | Day Shift: 6 AM - 4:30 PM

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical certification, trade school, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred
• Additional training or certifications in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, or industrial equipment maintenance are preferred

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience required
• Previous maintenance experience in a distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting material handling equipment, conveyors, motors, and related systems
• Electrical troubleshooting experience, including diagnosing and repairing electrical systems and components
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment inspections
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and complete repairs efficiently
• Ability to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond to equipment downtime
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with operations and maintenance teams
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, crawl, and work in various positions throughout the shift
• Ability to perform hands‑on maintenance tasks in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as needed (up to 50% of the workday)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Ability to work around conveyors, material‑handling equipment, and industrial machinery
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while responding to equipment issues and maintenance needs

Job Duties

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment and facility systems
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment issues
• Maintain and repair material handling equipment, conveyors, and warehouse systems
• Inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent downtime
• Complete scheduled maintenance tasks according to company standards and procedures
• Repair, replace, and adjust equipment components using appropriate tools and techniques
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and basic repairs on industrial systems
• Support equipment installation, modifications, and improvements as needed
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
• Communicate equipment issues, repair status, and operational concerns with leadership and team members
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA guidelines
• Assist with maintaining tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies
• Support continuous improvement efforts to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned
