Job summary

Opal Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Litchfield, MN egg processing plant. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and repairs of industrial machinery while ensuring policy and regulatory compliance. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

The technician will assist the Maintenance Lead with projects, diagnose problems, and perform adjustments using hand tools, meters, and material handling gear. A mechanical/electrical aptitude and shift flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Willing to work off schedule shifts when necessary.
• Experience with industrial maintenance and equipment repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed plant KPI’s and keep equipment running during processing hours.
• Perform preventive and urgent maintenance on general production machinery.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Take proactive approach to issue resolution and downtime reduction.
• Use hand/power tools and meters; report anomalies to supervision.
