Job summary

USALCO in Kentucky is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support plant operations by ensuring all equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The role requires reading blueprints and documenting activities in CMMS to track equipment history.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Industrial maintenance experience preferred (1–2 years).
• Strong troubleshooting and reading of technical documents.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; safety minded.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety, health, environmental, and quality policies.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on pumps, motors, control systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using tests and docs.
• Perform emergency and scheduled repairs to minimize downtime.
• Install and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Fabricate parts using shop equipment; read blueprints and diagrams.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS; maintain equipment history.
• Coordinate with operations and assist contractors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and overtime when required.
