Job summary

Multifamily NW in Beaverton, Oregon is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Senior level) to identify, diagnose, and repair machinery and building systems to minimize downtime in a climate‑controlled, safety‑focused environment.

You will work on electrical, mechanical, and MHE systems, troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs, perform electrical safety checks, replace drives, motors, pumps and HMI panels, and maintain detailed CMMS records while coordinating with contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Post high school technical/vocational education in industrial maintenance technology and electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and MHE systems.
• Ability to handle complex repairs with minimal supervision and train others as needed.
• Prior industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in plastics manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and VFDs.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical component repairs and PLC diagnostics.
• Strong mechanical skills in industrial settings.
• Familiarity with industry-standard safety protocols and industrial maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify defects and repair industrial equipment using knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot automated controls, including PLCs and VFDs.
• Conduct electrical safety checks and repairs on AC systems up to 3-phase 480V and DC systems.
• Replace drives, motors, pumps, heaters, switches, and HMI panels.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during maintenance.
• Monitor MHE and report malfunctions.
• Support Control Room and Maintenance Storeroom operations and fabricate using cut and weld equipment.
• Clean up worksite locations on the DC floor after repairs.
• Track maintenance schedules, hours, spare parts consumption, and warranties.
• Enter data into CMMS and manage spare parts storeroom locations.
• Work with contractors, equipment rental vendors, and MHE trades.
• Participate in safety training and cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all work follows safety guidelines.
