Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and troubleshoot plant equipment, read blueprints, and perform preventive maintenance. The role requires 3 years of maintenance production machinery experience, basic knowledge of extrusion systems, vacuum lines, air systems, and safety practices, and the ability to operate forklifts and perform setup during changeovers.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of extrusion, vacuum systems, material transfer, air systems, preventative maintenance, safety equipment, fork trucks, and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot process/plant equipment.
• Perform preventive/routine maintenance on compressors, forklifts, oilers, and filters.
• Repair and troubleshoot 3 phase 480V systems.
• Repair and troubleshoot process controls – PLC & instrumentation controls.
• Read and interpret blueprints and procedures.
• Operate powered industrial trucks and lifts.
• Setup drum and shear tools during changeovers.
• Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment.
