Job summary

Amcor LLC in Shelbyville, KY is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and simple electrical systems on production equipment. The role includes preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and welding/fabrication across multiple locations.

Includes day shift with overnight hours; strong safety focus and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance in an industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and document actions.
• Must follow safety standards and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and simple electrical problems on plant facilities and production equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on defined intervals and document findings.
• Respond to emergency repairs and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Conduct welding fabrication (stick and gas) on various metals for equipment improvements.
• Operate machine shop equipment and use PPE per policy.
• Provide coverage as needed and maintain clean work area.
