Job summary

Capstone Careersite is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the Byhalia, MS area. The role covers maintenance and repair of machinery on 1st and 2nd shifts with pay between $34 and $36 per hour.

Responsibilities include machine reassembly, operation checks, part inspection, lubrication, and coordination with vendors for maintenance/repair activities. 2+ years in automation tech and strong mechanical/electrical knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent from two-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in automation technology, repair and maintenance of electrical, diesel and internal combustion forklifts and related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems; reading equipment manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance work.
• Start machines and observe operation to determine efficiency and detect problems.
• Inspect or test damaged parts and advise needs to repair.
• Lubricate or apply materials per procedures.
• Install or replace machine parts per production specs.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair with tools or hoists.
• Record maintenance information and read work orders.
• Set up and operate machines and adjust controls.
• Collaborate with workers to repair or move machines.
