Job summary

RTX is seeking a hands-on Machine Tool Services Technician responsible for predictive and preventive maintenance on production equipment at our Middletown, PA site. You will diagnose, repair, and document mechanical and electrical issues to keep production running safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong knowledge of CNC controls, lean manufacturing, and the ability to train junior technicians. Onsite work duties include operating forklifts, maintaining work areas, and adhering to all

Qualifications

• Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Proficient with use of hand tools
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
• Strong written & verbal communication
• Ability to work from heights and stay on feet for long periods
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of CNC controls and Cartesian coordinates
• Willingness to train junior technicians

Responsibilities

• Perform and document advanced electrical and mechanical diagnostics and repairs on production equipment; perform routine preventive maintenance
• Operate forklifts and aerial lifts; conduct pre-operational inspections
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work area; manage waste containers per guidelines
• Operate and maintain filtration equipment; remove swarf and debris and report malfunctions
• Follow OSHA rules and EH&S guidelines; wear PPE as required
• Support department objectives and develop skills as needed
