Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Lenexa, KS is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician I for the 3rd shift. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on bakery equipment, ensure safety, and support continuous production reliability.

The role requires physical ability (climb ladders up to 20 feet, lift up to 50 pounds) and hands-on skills in welding, electrical work, and using SAP for parts and data entry. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as technician in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school certification a plus
• Must be able to operate safely in a bakery environment and read blueprints/schematics

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices
• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical welding, gas welding, cutting, soldering, pipe fittings, and metal fabrication (milling/lathe)
• Identify and inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
• Rebuild mechanical drive components (clutches, brakes)
• Verify and correct mechanical timing
• Perform lubrication and preventive maintenance
• Identify wear and replace drive and conveyor components
• Identify, wire, and troubleshoot electrical components
• Use SAP for parts checkout, reporting, data entry
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Comply with company policies (EEO, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley)
• Possess or attain licenses to work with boilers, refrigeration components and equipment
