Job summary

Silgan Closures in Evansville, IN is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to install, maintain, repair and remove production equipment, conveyors, ovens, and air compressors. You will also help maintain the facility and grounds while following safety protocols.

Starting pay is $28.31 per hour with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts, and a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company contributions and a pension plan, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and safety program

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods.
• Climb ladders, be lifted in scissor lift, and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair production equipment, conveyor systems, ovens, and air compressors.
• Maintain facility buildings and grounds; perform carpentry, welding, and sheet metal work as needed.
• Diagnose production failures and report findings to Supervisor for repairs.
• Assist electricians with electrical equipment and rigging as required.
• Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to install and repair machinery.
• Ensure equipment safeguards are in place and operational.
