Job summary

Priefert Mfg. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an engineering-minded Production Maintenance Technician for our DFW location.

You will work with industrial machinery, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical motors, to keep production running smoothly. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical problems, ordering parts, recording work orders, and complying with safety policies and ISO quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Use of hand tools, such as hammers, saws, impacts, drills, wrenches and hoists.
• Maintenance of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical drive systems.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
• Work with tool room and purchasing to identify and order parts
• Work with production and department supervision to schedule equipment down time for repairs.
• Inspect gearboxes, drive shafts, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions following prewritten checklists.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Fill out detailed daily logs and work orders.
• Apply 5’s methods to tool carts, shop, parts storage areas and work areas.
• Comply with all Safety Policies and Procedures
• Comply with ISO Quality Standards
• Follow Department Specific Work Instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
