Job summary

Description

Priefert Mfg. is seeking a Engineering minded Production Maintenance Technician for our DFW Location. Top Candidates will have experience with all aspects of Industrial Manufacturing Machinery, including hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical motors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use of hand tools, such as hammers, saws, impacts, drills, wrenches and hoists.
• Maintenance of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical drive systems.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
• Work with tool room and purchasing to identify and order parts
• Work with production and department supervision to schedule equipment down time for repairs.
• Inspect gearboxes, drive shafts, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions following prewritten checklists.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Fill out detailed daily logs and work orders.
• Apply 5’s methods to tool carts, shop, parts storage areas and work areas.
• Comply with all Safety Policies and Procedures
• Comply with ISO Quality Standards
• Follow Department Specific Work Instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Understanding of industrial machinery and how it works.
• Ability to determine safe and unsafe conditions and to adjust the situation to stay safe at all times.
• Ability to keep a clean and organized maintenance shop, tool cart and work area.
• Ability to use tool carts, aerial lifts, cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to work on more than one task at a time.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
