Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to support electrical and mechanical maintenance in the Melting department in New Haven, Indiana. Responsibilities include covering maintenance vacations, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring safe work practices. Candidates must have a strong safety record and experience in industrial maintenance. Preferred qualifications include electrical experience and welding skills. This is a swing shift position with a schedule of 6-6, 4 on 4 off.

Qualifications

• Excellent safety record and ability to work with others.
• Previous industrial maintenance experience is required.
• Ability to pass FIT test for full face respirator and SCBA.

Responsibilities

• Cover maintenance vacations as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and installation of new equipment.
• Monitor and ensure safe work practices.
