Job summary

MARBORG RECOVERY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain equipment within the Material Recovery Facility (MRF Tajiguas Landfill). You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot engines, motors, conveyors, and production machines, following diagrams and manuals to ensure reliability and safety.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, coordinating repairs, and possibly supervising others. Flexible schedule, including nights/weekends, may be needed to support operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanic service and repair experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and engineering specifications.
• Experience with heavy equipment, conveyors, and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment (balers, conveyors, motors, pumps).
• Maintains inventory of repair parts and coordinates with outside vendors as needed.
• Reads schematics and uses diagrams to diagnose defects and plan repairs.
• Leads and directs others, assigns and reviews work.
• Ensures safety and quality in maintenance tasks.
