Job summary

Shaw Industries Group Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech A for a day shift to maximize uptime and reliability of manufacturing equipment.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance in a hands-on environment, applying precision practices and root-cause analysis to support safe and efficient operations. The role requires mechanical troubleshooting, CMMS proficiency, and adherence to LOTO and safety standards.

Qualifications

Experience – Strong background in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
Safety Expertise – LOTO, confined space entry, PPE, PIT, fall protection, hoisting and rigging, hot work procedures.
Technical Skills – Proficient with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments; able to document work and manage parts in CMMS.
Blueprint & Schematic Interpretation – Read and interpret mechanical drawings; update or create technical documents.
Analytical – Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis; basic math for maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repair – preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment; service conveyors, piping and utility systems.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving – diagnose issues affecting safety, quality, and productivity; implement corrective actions.
Proactive Maintenance – PM inspections, lubrication, component replacements; PdM using condition-monitoring tools.
Continuous Improvement – complete work orders and support reliability and process improvement projects.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship – work with operations and maintenance teams; mentor less-experienced technicians.
