Job summary

Pitney Bowes in Reading, PA is seeking an Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift. The role involves mechanical and electronic repairs on printer and mail sorting equipment and performing preventative maintenance per quality standards.

Base pay is $28.25 per hour with a $2.50 per hour shift premium; schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 10:15 PM – 6:45 AM EST. The ideal candidate will be autonomous, adept at troubleshooting, and capable of managing spare parts and inventory

Qualifications

• Autonomous, high performing and customer service oriented.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment for automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment including printer and mail sorting equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to Mail Preparation Total Quality Management and vendor operating standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns or emergencies with urgency and expediency.
• Utilize inventory, pm schedule and work order systems, and maintain spare parts/supply inventory.
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
