Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of mechanical maintenance or repair experience.
• Experience repairing and maintaining machinery or mechanical equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems.
• Experience with pneumatic tools, motors, conveyors, or production equipment preferred.
• Ability to use precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work safely around production machinery and equipment.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on boilers, including replacing burners, hoses, and other components.
• Install replacement parts and reinforce or repair equipment as needed.
• Dismantle machines, equipment, and mechanical devices to access defective components.
• Use hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools to safely remove and replace parts.
• Repair machinery and equipment using hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, and other tools.
• Use precision measuring instruments and electrical or electronic testing devices as needed.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs.
• Review blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs when troubleshooting equipment.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or potential problems.
• Complete assigned maintenance and repair work according to established procedures.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
