Position Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all facility equipment and systems. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, planning and prioritizing work orders, overseeing preventive maintenance programs, and coordinating with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily activities of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to meet plant objectives
Oversee maintenance operations, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Ensure timely completion of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks
Troubleshoot and assist in resolving complex equipment failures or production issues
Schedule and coordinate equipment repairs with minimal disruption to operations
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, part usage, and downtime logs
Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to plan maintenance during scheduled shutdowns or production lulls
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for equipment or service needs
Support training and development of maintenance staff to enhance technical capabilities and team efficiency
Assist with capital projects and machinery installations as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, PLCs, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals
Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and direct a team
Strong organizational and communication skills
Understanding of workplace safety, OSHA regulations, and Lockout/Tagout procedures
Willingness to be on call for emergency issues and respond to urgent maintenance needs
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and work in confined spaces or elevated areas
Exposure to noise, heat, dust, and moving machinery
Must wear appropriate PPE as required
May require weekend, evening, or on-call hours based on business needs
