Job summary

The AMES Companies, headquartered in Lake Nona-Orlando, FL, is seeking a Mechanical Specialist I for our ClosetMaid Ocala facility. The role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m., with overtime as needed, and focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance of production equipment and support systems. You will perform mechanical repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting, document time accurately, and work safely in a team to keep operations running in a 600,000 square feet manufacturing

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• 7–10 years of related experience.
• Advanced mechanical knowledge with basic electrical proficiency.
• Strong understanding of industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and support systems.
• Conduct mechanical repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments.
• Perform work up to—but not including—adjustments or repairs of computerized controls.
• Set up and operate equipment requiring basic electrical adjustments.
• Provide personal hand tools not supplied by the department.
• Accurately account for all working time.
• Communicate issues to supervisors and team members.
• Perform duties safely and professionally.
• Comply with company policies.
• Work effectively in a team environment and maintain attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support operations and business needs.
