Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is seeking a Site Safety Manager to lead the safety program, mentor staff, and support continuous improvement across our Illinois site. The role emphasizes safety leadership, process adherence, and strong collaboration with operations to ensure strategic objectives are met.

Responsibilities include implementing safety policies, coaching teams, managing performance, and driving effective communication with customers and management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications, web-based applications, and CMMS software
• Foundational business acumen (understanding contracts and the customer’s business, negotiation, billing models, financial experience, relationship building)
• Planner/scheduler experience ideal

Responsibilities

• Manages the Site Safety Program and ensures policies are followed
• Demonstrates leadership for employee safety and wellness through Beyond Zero initiatives
• Develops understanding of site-level and company initiatives and supports change
• Communicates with team to align actions with strategic objectives
• Leads day-to-day team priorities and demonstrates self-motivated, emotionally intelligent behavior
• Manages employee performance and provides development opportunities
• Mentors employees regarding career planning and training
• Leads and embeds the Operating System, measures maintenance indicators and drives continuous improvement
• Escalates priorities and maintains customer relations and responsible for overtime approvals
• Reviews work orders and ensures adherence to schedules and meetings as an influential leader
