Position: Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician I

Location: Hillview, KY

Wage: $28.02 Hr/ plus $2.00 for shift differential

Shift: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (overtime may be required)

Responsibilities:

1. Install and maintain auxiliary equipment required by production.
2. Maintain and repair utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
3. Assist and train other maintenance personnel with repairs, preventive maintenance, and rebuilds.
4. Collaborate with other departments for proactive problem resolution.
5. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
6. Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
7. Support Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.

Qualifications:

1. Experience in industrial environments or military service.
2. Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment experience.
3. Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls preferred.
4. Ability to work with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending, twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs.
5. Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks in an off-shift position with rotating shifts, including overtime and weekends.
