Job summary

Gildan is seeking a Facility Maintenance Supervisor for 1st shift to direct a multi-shift maintenance team and optimize facility operations. The role emphasizes supervising technicians, coordinating repairs, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a warehouse/manufacturing setting.

The candidate should have 5–7 years industrial maintenance experience with 2–3 years of supervisory background, plus strong knowledge of mechanical systems, PLC/VFDs, and CMMS workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associates degree in Electrical/Engineering or related field preferred.
• 5–7 years industrial maintenance experience.
• 2–3 years supervision experience preferred.
• Read blueprints/schematics; CAD experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and independent work ability.
• OSHA/safety/environmental protocol familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a maintenance team across multiple shifts.
• Conduct Safety, Environmental and Operational training with the team.
• Perform Safety and Environmental Audits.
• Perform Equipment Effectiveness Audits.
• Manage the CMMS system, develop PMs, assign work orders and audits.
• Coordinate with other departments and 3rd party vendors.
• Collaborate with 2nd shift Supervisor and other staff on current/upcoming projects.
