Job summary

Stratas Foods in Decatur, IL is hiring for a production support role focused on keeping lines running and performing maintenance tasks. Candidates should be dependable, able to work any shift, and pass an aptitude test. Responsibilities include housekeeping, PMs, and basic mechanical repairs.

Eligible candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and may have prior manufacturing experience. Forklift operation and basic data entry skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Keep lines running for better efficiency.
• Complete work orders as assigned.
• Keep work areas neat and clean.

• Conduct PM on assigned areas.
• Complete daily and monthly PMs.
• Assist others on tasks.
• Identify needed mechanical improvements.
• Make repairs when possible.
• Identify and address unsafe conditions.
• Maintain downtime sheets and GMP log.
• Be on call on weekends.

Job description

Starting Rate is $28.65-$29.69 for well experienced techs. Top Rate is $31.31 after qualified. 2nd and 3rd shift receive a .60 shift premium.

Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be dependable, able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required. They may also be required to pass an aptitude test. Must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

The tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized forklift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Primary Duties

• Keeping lines running for better efficiency
• Complete work orders as assigned
• Keep work areas neat and clean
• Working Safely and following all SOP's on lock out of equipment
• Conduct PM on assigned areas
• Completion of daily and monthly PMs
• Able to assist others on job task
• Identify needed mechanical improvements
• Make necessary mechanical repairs when possible
• Identify and work to eliminate unsafe conditions and/or practices
• Completion and accuracy of down time sheets/GMP log
• Ability to be on call on weekends when required
• Ability to rewire electrical buckets and motors

Primary Objectives

• Working with line operators/supervisors to proactively maintain lines running
• Completing work orders in a timely matter

Education :

High School Diploma or equivalent

Related Experience :

Previous relevant experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment

Equipment/Software Skills :

Basic Computer Skills - data entry
