Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to interpret prints, install, test, and repair mechanical equipment across our plant operations. The role requires independent work, welding knowledge, and physical stamina to manage heavy lifting and extended shifts.

The position offers a starting rate of $36.45 per hour, with opportunities for growth as you maintain and optimize conveyor systems and other plant machinery in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Industrial Maintenance Experience in a Plant setting
• Able to work extended hours, holidays, and overtime as required
• Able to work rotating shifts
• Speak, read, write and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., sit/stand for extended periods
• Must pass Wonderlic and Ramsay MECTEST
• Working knowledge of maintenance and welding

Responsibilities

• Interprets and works from prints and technical instructions.
• Furnishes and uses own complement of hand tools, company tools and equipment.
• Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean.
• Installs, tests, maintains and repairs mechanical equipment per regulations and specs; assembles and maintains plant equipment.
• Inspects, tests and aligns testing equipment.
• Installs, troubleshoots, adjusts, services and repairs mechanical equipment for lifts and conveyor belts.
• Maintains machines and equipment in efficient operating condition.
