Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling has an immediate opening for a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. The role installs, repairs, and maintains all plant equipment, with extensive belt conveyor experience required. Responsibilities include welding, gearbox work, and troubleshooting complex systems.

Hours are Monday–Thursday, 4pm–2:30am. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant maintenance experience, is self-motivated, and can work on-call or overtime as needed while complying with safety

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years relevant maintenance experience.
Extensive belt conveyor experience required (maintaining conveyors, replacing rollers/belts, tracking/alignment).
Proficiency in gearbox rebuilding, equipment alignment, welding, and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems.
Must be self-motivated and able to work alone or with others.
Teachable attitude and ability to learn on the job in a fast-paced environment.
Able to perform physical tasks including lifting at least 50 lbs.
Willing to be on call and work any shift, including nights; overtime may be available.
Must adhere to safety standards and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems on equipment.
Repair production line equipment including conveyors and shredding equipment.
Install or assist in installation of machinery and equipment.
Cutting and welding, including light steel fabrication.
Perform maintenance duties or other duties as assigned.
