Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Minerva, OH to maintain and repair a variety of equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, service conveyors, and perform preventive maintenance while following safety procedures. This role requires lifting, working in extreme temperatures, and willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of electrical training or experience in mechanical/electrical repair within a manufacturing environment.
• Maintenance manufacturing experience, technical school training, electrical certification, or welding experience (highly preferred).
• Trailer mechanic experience (preferred).
• Previous experience with industrial machinery and equipment maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems.
• Service trailers and repair and replace industrial equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems: install belts, tighten, adjust, straighten, align, and replace parts.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe working conditions.
• Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Ensure that all work is completed following safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work in awkward, confined spaces, using proper lifting and rigging techniques for heavy objects.
