Job summary

Standard Locknut LLC is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair production machinery in our tool room. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support daily operations to ensure efficiency and product quality.

Ideal candidates read schematics, work with CNC machinery and controls, and possess hands-on experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
• Familiarity with Okuma, Fuji, Haas, Mori Seiki, and Mazak CNC machinery.
• Experience with FANUC, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas, and Okuma controls.
• Demonstrated expertise in industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems up to 480 Volts AC.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machines per manuals and specs; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Proactively identify and address mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
• Observe mechanical devices in operation, listen for issues, and use precision measuring instruments to locate problems.
• Dismantle devices using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools to remove defective parts.
• Inspect used parts with calipers and micrometers to determine dimensional changes.
• Adjust devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Communicate maintenance plans to production staff to control downtime.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment.
• Document maintenance actions and communicate irregularities and needs to the team.
• Pursue process improvements and refine troubleshooting methods.
• Maintain inventory levels, anticipate needs, and assist with stock control.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment and comply with PPE rules.
