Job summary

W. SILVER is seeking aMaintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors, and production machines. You will troubleshoot issues, locate problems, and replace worn parts using hoists and cranes while following safety rules.

The role emphasizes minimizing downtime, conserving resources, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Experience with hydraulic equipment and packaging/production machinery is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical training and exposure to high-speed equipment.
• 2+ years of related experience with packing machines/production machines.
• OSHA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors and production machines.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions by observing operation and using precision instruments.
• Remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand tools; inspect parts for wear.
• Control downtime by informing production and monitoring maintenance compliance.
• Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Contribute to team effort by completing related results as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or department manager.
• Work with hydraulic ram balers, conveyors, HVAC, and other equipment.
