Job summary

Borouge International is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II for our Port Murray, NJ site to diagnose, repair and maintain a range of industrial equipment on a growing manufacturing line. Responsibilities include preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, lubrication, and calibration of motors, pumps and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

The role requires reading mechanical blueprints, welding for repairs, piping work, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Graduate or GED.
• Trade school training in related areas preferred.
• Knowledge of steam systems and NJ High Pressure Black Seal Boiler License is a plus.
• Strong safety awareness, GMP and PPE practices.
• Good reading, math and basic computer skills.
• Strong understanding of bearings, power transmission equipment and rigging.
• Electrical power distribution and controls experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of motors, pumps, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with 3-phase, single-phase and DC motors.
• Documentation skills for maintenance records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery to reduce downtime.
• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Lubricate, inspect, adjust and calibrate equipment.
• Install and fabricate upgrades for new systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints.
• Troubleshoot motors, gear reducers, mixers, extruders, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Weld (MIG, TIG, STICK) for repairs and small fabrication projects.
• Install and repair piping systems.
• Work with electrical systems from 12V to 480V.
• Troubleshoot automated machinery, sensors, controllers and limit switches.
• Use power tools, hand tools, lifts, jacks and hoists; consult manuals.
• Perform minor facility maintenance and collaborate across departments.
