Qualifications

• Three to five years of work experience in a manufacturing plant or similar setting.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems incl Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Power Transmission, and related controls.
• Experience with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls.
• Ability to order parts and maintain inventory of maintenance materials.
• Familiarity with automation, PLCs, robotics, and bulk handling systems.
• Facility maintenance knowledge (roof, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, etc.).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Follows, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including PPE and safety equipment.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment and machinery.
• Repairs basic mechanical components and replaces parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches.
• Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of problems.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• Lubricates and cleans machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant.
• Accomplishes all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; improve quality production; and plant efficiency.
• Follows safety rules including Lockout/Tagout and observes safe operations.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to determine root causes and initiate remedial action.
• Repair equipment to improve availability and reliability for production.
• Collect and analyze delay codes to identify challenges and reduce delays.
• Ensure preventive maintenance compliance and document repair history.
• Assist in sourcing and requisitioning maintenance supplies within budget guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
