Job summary

National Oilwell Varco, L.P. in Amelia, LA is seeking a reliable Maintenance Mechanic to maintain the performance and safety of large industrial assets through routine and corrective maintenance.

You will document activities in the AIMS system, coordinate with vendors, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high workmanship standards. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience maintaining heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (AIMS preferred).
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on all assets per plan.
• Execute unscheduled maintenance to restore equipment quickly.
• Develop and maintain a monthly maintenance schedule.
• Document all maintenance activities in the AIMS system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Account for tools and equipment assigned to tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical assistance and parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and industry best practices.
• Monitor equipment performance and report trends to the Operations Manager.
• Support continuous improvement to boost maintenance efficiency.
