Job summary

The LYCRA Company seeks an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for its Waynesboro, VA site. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance to boost uptime and reliability.

You will work with pumps, gears, piping, and chemicals while adhering to safety guidelines. Candidates should have 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience or 1 year with 2 years of technical training, and be able to work 7:00 am–3:30 pm with potential night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a full-time role OR 1 year plus 2 years of technical school or relevant military training.
Day shift schedule 7:00 am – 3:30 pm; nights/weekends may be required.
Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety practices.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to wear a respirator and maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure seal.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment for improved reliability and uptime.
Work with pumps, gears, sprockets, pulleys, bearings, seals, piping, and chemicals.
Some work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems; collaborate with mechanical engineers.
Follow safety/environmental guidelines; participate in safety programs.
Document work findings and update job status; maintain housekeeping at the facility.
