Job summary

IPG is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Danville, VA to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment. You will work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and drive mechanisms while following safety protocols.

Qualified candidates have a two-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance and prior industrial experience. The role involves long shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs, and active participation in IPS safety initiatives.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in industrial maintenance and ability to read and follow detailed production specs.
Two-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and drive systems required.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills within a team.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, diagnose issues, and repair machinery.
Ensure safe work practices and report unsafe conditions to supervision.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and enter data into the maintenance system.
Order parts and manage inventories to minimize downtime.
Assist with safety audits and IPS program activities.
