Nucor Corporation in Memphis, TN, is seeking a QAL Downstream Processing Maintenance Mechanic (Shift) to support safe coordination, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and improve equipment on the Quality Assurance Line and other Downstream Processing Lines.

The role requires collaboration with production and electrical teams to maximize reliability and uptime, implement improvements, and assist with upgrades. Flexibility for rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 1 year experience in maintenance with mechanical troubleshooting.
• Preferred: Heavy industrial equipment experience.
• Preferred: Industrial hydraulic systems experience.
• Preferred: Air compressor maintenance and operation experience.
• Preferred: Experience in basic electrical theory.
• Preferred: Gearbox setup and alignment experience.
• Preferred: Engineering coursework, military maintenance training and/or prior industrial maintenance experience.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues on the QAL Downstream lines.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to equipment.
• Assist with equipment upgrades and improvement initiatives.
• Continuously evaluate equipment for reliability and efficiency improvements.
• Act as liaison with vendors and parts suppliers for maintenance support.
