Clean Harbors in Sanford, NC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair all plant equipment and tooling. The role operates Monday–Friday, 6am–2:30pm with some overtime and occasional weekends. Wage starts at $30 per hour DOE, with opportunity for growth and on-site training.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and documentation. Candidates should have 3–5 years in industrial maintenance, familiarity with pumps, boilers, and piping,

Qualifications

• 3-5 years maintenance experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• Familiar with pressure/temperature/flow instrumentation, distillation stills, pumps, boilers a plus.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license; confined spaces certification.

Responsabilités

• Performs preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and corrective actions.
• Keeps service and parts/inventory records; maintains daily PM checklists.
• Operates forklift and heavy equipment as needed to aid diagnosis.
• Maintains a clean, compliant work environment and follows safety SOPs.
• Completes safety checks, annual inspections, and relevant paperwork for PM scheduling.
• Repairs and fabricates components; handles pump and piping installs as required.
• Ensures compliance with health and safety standards and area permits.
