sstjobs is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Class A Boiler Operator in Memphis, TN to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, and production machinery. Schedule is 10:00 AM–8:00 PM with a pay range of $28.00–$32.00 per hour. Applicants should have Class A Boiler Operator qualification and industrial maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Class A Boiler Operator experience/qualification required.
• Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, pneumatic systems, production machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, manuals, and technical specifications.
• Strong preventive and corrective maintenance experience.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, production machinery, and other mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using diagrams, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
• Inspect equipment and identify sources of mechanical issues through testing and measurements.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and replace defective components using hand and power tools.
• Measure and evaluate parts using calipers, micrometers, and rulers.
• Adjust and align mechanical components and control devices using appropriate tools.
• Fabricate or modify repair parts using machine shop equipment when needed.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Monitor inventories and coordinate ordering of parts and supplies.
• Promote proper equipment operation with production teams and follow safety policies.
