Job summary

GCC is seeking a maintenance technician to perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on cement plant equipment in Odessa, Texas. You will work closely with Maintenance Coordinators to troubleshoot issues, complete repairs, and keep critical systems running safely and efficiently.

You will assist with electrical and instrumentation projects, install motors, align equipment, and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience performing mechanical repairs in a cement plant or heavy industrial environment.
• Ability to meet all essential functions and physical requirements.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with lubrication and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and equipment tolerances.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on shipping department equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete repairs.
• Assist with preventive maintenance activities.
• Support electrical and instrumentation maintenance by working with electricians.
• Install motors and align equipment; perform related maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
