Job summary

West Liberty Foods is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for the Primary Set Up on the 3rd shift in West Liberty, IA. The role focuses on maintaining operation of machinery and automated equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical systems to minimize downtime and support production goals.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a mechanical role in manufacturing, PLC/vision system experience, and the ability to read prints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical field in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Read and understand mechanical and electrical diagrams and technical repair manuals.
• Experience working on automated equipment (PLC, vision systems) preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships available.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventive maintenance and tasks.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Read electrical/mechanical diagrams and repair manuals to support production.
• Operate lifts and material handling tools as needed.
• Adhere to safety and hazardous materials procedures (HAZMAT).
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.
